FAQs

Does the M & M Bottom Load Valve System (BLVS) require any special modifications to the top-drive or actuator?

No, the Upper and Lower valves make up to the top-drive and actuator exactly like the original equipment did.

Will our Varco top-drive replacement valves integrate with the M&M BLVS?

No, while the Upper and Lower valves bodies and their connections are dimensionally identical to the Varco valves, the M&M BLVS valves internal profile is unique. The M&M Lower valve has an extension or nose built on top of the pin connection and this extension mates into a unique ID profile in the Upper valve, holding the canister in place.

Do M&M’s valves come standard with H2S trim as some of our competitors do?

Are M&M valves “full-opening” valves?

Are M&M's valve internals interchangeable with our competitors’ internal parts?

No, M&M’s valves have a unique and patented design.

Do M&M valves test from the top and bottom?

Yes, all of our standard valve designs offer dual directional sealing.
